What qualities do you think a hero should possess? Does Beowulf have those qualities?

     I think the qualities a hero should possess are bravery, willlingness to sacrifice ownself for others' benefits, strong mentally and physically. In addition, hero is always considered by others as good justice side. Beowulf has these qualities because he fights face to face to Grendel rather than hiding away, even though he doesn't have a weapon. He is willing to sacrifice his life for people in Denmark. He shows his strength by tearing off Grendel's arms. People are joyous about Grendel's death, and they view Beowulf as the greatest warrior on Eath.
